PLACE is all about creating innovative, affordable communities with a focus on self-sufficiency and minimal impact on the environment. Utilizing technologies such as wind and solar, and embracing new ideas such as a trash composition system that generates energy, PLACE is looking beyond sustainability. Their recent project, Working Artists Ventura or WAV, is garnering attention from around the world, becoming only the second development in California to receive LEED Certification. I hope that PLACE will inspire others to create and innovate with an open mind!
